Santa Barbara Century Ride
My main cycling goal for the year, I thought I'd put it on the calendar FYI. :-) This is 105 miles of riding with almost 9,000 vertical feet to be climbed. There is never a flat moment and I'll be riding with my long-time friend and hammer: Kevin Womack.

I am looking forward to sharing God's Word with this wonderful family of Faith in Morgan Hill. As always, I am honored to be asked to participate in the Gospel work they are doing in their part of the South Valley.

Who Are You In Christ?
There are Some amazing "in Christ"s in the Bible. Romans 8 has a wealth of them and this weekend, Jeff will be taking the men of La Jolla Presbyterian through Romans Chapter 8 from a guys perspective.
Men's Ministry is on its Way
Beginning sometime in March (Yeah, we are still building it), we will gather men together who are interested in seeking Christ, developing friendships and hanging out with other guys interested in becoming better men. We'll keep you posted as this develops. Right now we have a clear purpose and vision. Here they are:
Vision: Create a safe, steps oriented, place for men to seek God, develop relationships and find support
Purpose: Develop a faith filled, purpose rich connection with Christ and other men.
Dangerous Belief - An Adventure in Studying the Bible
Starting January 8th and running for four Wednesdays at 7pm, I have been invited to teach a concentrated version of the Dangerous Belief class at Morgan Hill Presbyterian Church. I invite you to join me for this class.
The class can work for everyone and is designed for those wanting to go deeper in developing significant Bible Study tools, habits, and theology.
Objective
To bring a deeper understanding of Christ's discipleship call while developing significant tools for studying His Word. This class is meant to be a compliment to our Not A Fan class which focuses on deepening our relationships with Christ. As with Not A Fan, it is meant to follow our Living the Word class and precede our Lead Like Jesus class. While anyone may step into this class, there are some assumptions made regarding biblical literacy and discipleship commitment.
Goals - There are four key goals of this class:
1. Deepen our understanding of Christ's call to follow Him and the beliefs many find to be difficult to hold.
2. Develop and get practice using specific and practical skills for serious Bible Study.
3. Personally grapple with the results of our studies.
4. Provide a small group, discussion oriented experience that will develop relationships and accountability as we study, learn and live God’s Word.
A Christmas Eve Gathering
You, your family, friends and anyone else interested in connecting to Christ and the Christmas story on Christmas Eve are invited to celebrate with us in the Caudill's barn.
We will gather at 7pm and join together in some singing and enjoying the Christmas Story.
Rachel Barrentine will be leading us and we will take time to reflect on the Comfort and Joy of Christmas for us.
It will be a great time to gather and share the meaning of Christmas with one another.
Celebrate Arthur Guinness
Join a few men for a Christian beverage and a challenge from the life of Sir Arthur Guinness. There is a reserved space at the Claddagh on 1st St. at 11:30am. Bring money for your beverage and lunch if you would like. We will begin at 11:40 with a short devotional and discussion around the table. Then we will take time to spend some time together.
December 1st Preaching
I will be preaching at Morgan Hill Bible Church on December 1st.
They have three services: 8:15, 9:30 and 11am. Come join a vibrant community of faith for worship. I will be preaching on 1 Peter 4:12-19. Can't wait to talk about an plan for "Fiery Trials." Could be a bit uncomfortable but fun all the same.
